Funding Cycle
The Board of Directors and Grant Distribution Committees meet quarterly (usually in March, June, September and December).

Deadlines are the first of the month prior to the meeting month. (February 1, May 1, August 1 and November 1). Requests received after any quarterly deadline will be considered in the next quarter.

An applicant can expect prompt notification once a decision has been reached. Do not hesitate to call the Foundation if you wish to check on the status of any proposal, or have any questions about the grant making cycle or process.

Procedures

Human Investment Project
A declined proposal will not be reconsidered, but this should not preclude the applicant from submitting other worthwhile requests. Normally an applicant will not receive more than one grant within a calendar year.

Generally, the Directors of the Foundation do not meet with grant-seekers, and communication with individual Directors is discouraged. However, the staff will make occasional site visits and/or meet with grant-seekers as necessary to complete or clarify the information contained in any grant request.

It is suggested that organizations contact the Foundation by phone prior to submission of a grant request to ascertain whether or not the request is within current guidelines, and to determine the status of the applicable funding cycle.
